Job Overview

Roles and Responsibilities:

You will be managing, creating and executing the entire digital marketing plan for Playo in India, UAE and other countries to drive growth through both organic and inorganic digital marketing channels to meet the following specific objectives:

  • App Installs

  • New User Acquisition

  • User Retention

  • Brand Awareness and Recall

  • User Engagement

  • B2B Engagement

You will be managing and working with a team consisting of the content editor and visual designer at Playo to enable you to create the required content and campaigns. You will be expected to put in place the marketing campaign calendar and execute it with minimal supervision. Specifically, the role will require you to cover the following:

  • Social Media Engagement and Content Marketing

  • Oversee development and ensure distribution of blogs and content on relevant social media channels and online groups to ensure higher viewership and readership

  • Drive engagement through shares, likes and comments on social media posts

  • Optimization of content creation based on keywords, analytics and costs

  • Engage with potential and existing users to build category awareness and

  • Promote Playo’s value-proposition and brand among social media channels specifically targeting relevant communities and groups

  • Search Engine Optimization

    • On-Page Optimization and Back Link Creation/Link Building for content

    • Keyword Research, Competition Analysis

  • Paid Digital Media campaigns on Facebook, Google AdWords, Twitter and other online channels

    • Manage and continuously optimize campaign strategies and spends to result in increased web traffic and app installs while ensuring relevant audience acquisition

    • Ensure optimal campaign costs and increase efficiency in cost per installs

    • Create potential audience sets and run tailored digital campaigns pertaining to the target audience set to ensure campaign effectiveness

    • Analyze data and effectively leverage them to drive digital programme effectiveness

    • Optimize campaigns based on data to convert them into retained users

    • Consistently experiment with different strategies and channels to find the best-suited one to achieve the goals

  • Other digital marketing channels leveraging user analytics to ensure existing user retention and engagement while also impacting sales

    • Newsletter and Email Marketing

    • In-app notifications and alerts

    • SMS marketing

    Requirements:

    • Experience and great grasp of SEO/SEM, Social, Email, Affiliate marketing and Re-targeting campaigns

    • 3-5 years of proven track record in digital, social media and content marketing, preferably for consumer internet businesses

    • Great communication and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with analytical tools like Google webmaster, Google Analytics, Apps Flyer, Mix Panel, etc.

    • A potent mix of analytical and marketing skills. While the role requires an eye of detail and love for data and analytics, you would be expected to experiment with new/creative campaign ideas and marketing strategies

    • An avid sports buff – critical, to ensure that social media engagement in the sector comes naturally to you

    • A Self-starter! The role requires both management and execution skills. While you would be expected to create periodic plans and monitor results, we do equally expect you to get your hands dirty to get the job done

    • Most importantly, you are a great team player with a hustling mentality and a must-do attitude. Sorry, we can’t afford corporatized freeloaders just yet!
